Francesca Galeazzi



Francesca Galeazzi is an artist and a sustainability designer based in Berlin. Her artistic practice focuses on climate change awareness and contemporary environmental issues. She uses a variety of media, employing projection, sculpture, drawing, painting and performance. She holds a Master degree in Fine Arts from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London and has lived in Australia,UK, India and China. The performance Justifying Bad Behaviour (2008) took place in the Arctic during an expedition of scientists and artists aimed at developing a cultural response to climate change. The performance seeks to highlight the controversies of our society and provoke debate on the role that environmental compensation mechanisms like Carbon Offsetting play in hindering the transition to a cleaner future.
